Give the Gift of Life! The American Red Cross will be having a Special “O” blood drive on Saturday, May 18th, at the Mt. Calvary Firehouse 999 Fond du Lac St. from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. With only 3% of people donating blood, there is an ongoing urgent need for blood donors! Blood is needed every day. When you give, others live. PLEASE call 1-800-Red Cross (1-800-733-2767) to schedule an appointment, or schedule online; all blood types are welcome. Walkins can be taken between scheduled appointments as available. On the day of the drive, save time by using the Rapid Pass app at home to review pre-donation information and complete your questionnaire Remember to bring the QR code with you to the drive. It really speeds up the process! As a thank you, people who donate between April 29-May 19th will receive a $10 e-gift card, and be entered in a drawing for a trip for two, with VIP experiences to the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Races on Labor Day weekend ! In addition, you will also receive a coupon (via email) for a free haircut from Sports Clips Haircuts. Light refreshments will be provided by volunteers of the Holyland Blood Drive.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
