A Fond du Lac man received life-threatening injuries in a two vehicle crash in Fond du Lac County. The crash happened late Friday afternoon on Highway Q in the town of Taycheeda. A preliminary investigation shows a 34 year old Fond du Lac woman was westbound on Q and was turning into a driveway when she pulled into the path of an eastbound vehicle. The driver of the eastbound car, a 77 year old Fond du Lac man, was ejected from the vehicle and flown by helicopter to a hospital with critical injuries. The female was not injured. The Sheriff’s Office says speed or alcohol were not factors in the crash.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
