SSM Health Greater Fond du Lac is launching a new training tool this summer. Regional Manager for Clinical Education with SSM Health Wisconsin Region Mel Thompson says the virtual reality training will be rolling out at SSM Health’s three hospitals in Fond du Lac County for clinical staff. Thompson says VR training will enhance and work side-by side with SSM Health’s current training opportunities for caregivers.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
