Four teenagers from the Madison area were killed in a pickup vs semi crash in Dodge County. The crash happened early Monday morning when a pickup failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of County Highway TT and state Highway 60 and was struck by a semi. The driver of the pickup, a 19 year old Sun Prairie man, and two male passengers, ages 16 and 17 from Sun Prairie and Madison died at the scene. An 18 year old female passenger from Madison died at a hospital. A fourth passenger received life threatening injuries. The semi driver, a 57 year old La Farge man, received minor injuries.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
