Hot temperatures are in the forecast for a second day in a row across Wisconsin. In Fond du Lac County the National Weather Service is forecasting a high temp in the low 90s with a heat index close to triple digits Tuesday. The extreme heat buckled pavement on roadways in northeast Wisconsin Monday. Both lanes of northbound Highway 151 at county Highway D in Fond du Lac County were closed for almost 7 hours after the pavement buckled in the heat. Portions of Insterstate 41 buckled in Winnebago and Brown counties as well.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
