Bail has been set at $500,000 cash for a Watertown man charged in a domestic related stabbing incident. Thirty eight year old Joshua Daniels is charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide and aggravated battery. The incident happened early Friday evening at a residence in the town of Shields. The 36 year old victim received multiple lacerations and is in stable condition at a hospital. The suspect barricaded himself inside the residence. About seven hours later the Dodge County SWAT team entered the home and took Daniels into custody.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
