Fond du Lac, Wisc.: Moraine Park is celebrating the exceptional efforts of the College’s surgical technology program and its recent graduates who earned a 100% pass rate on the national certification exam.  Surgical technologists are allied health professionals who prepare operating rooms, arrange equipment, prepare sterile instruments and supplies, and assist doctors during surgeries.    There were nine graduates this May. 6-6-24 fire damages fdl high school concession stand restroom

Nobody was injured in a fire that significantly damaged a new concession stand restroom at Fond du Lac High School. Firefighters found smoke coming from the maintenance room and men's restroom when they arrived shortly after 3:30pm Wednesday and quickly extinguished the fire.  Fire personnel ventilated the structure. The building sustained significant soot and smoke damage from the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

6-6-24 serious injury motorcycle crash

A Winneconne man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in Fond du Lac County.  The crash happened shortly after noon Wednesday on southbound Interstate 41 just  south of Townline Road.  A preliminary investigation shows a motorcycle veered off onto the gravel shoulder, struck the cable barrier and slid across both lanes of southbound 41 into the ditch.  The motorcycle operator, a 56 year old Winneconne man,  was not wearing a helmet and was flown […]
