MADISON, Wis. WAUKEGAN, Ill. (AP) — The man accused of opening fire at an Independence Day parade in suburban Chicago in 2022 has rejected a deal requiring him to plead guilty to seven charges of murder in the attack. 6-27-24 local unemployment rate up slightly

The local unemployment rate inched up slightly last month.  The unemployment rate was up a tenth of a percent to 2.6 percent in May in Dodge County.  The Fond du Lac County rate rose two-tenths of a percent to 2.7 percent.  In the city of Fond du Lac the jobless rate in May was 3.2 percent, up from 3 percent in April.
