6-25-24 fdl parks department storage building destroyed by fire

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a Fond du Lac Parks Department storage building at Lakeside Park.  Firefighters were called to the scene at 650 North Main Street near the entrance to the park shortly after 6pm Monday.  Fire Chief Erick Gerritson told WFDL news at the scene the building and contents, including a couple of utility vehicles, are a total loss.  Gerritson says at this point the […]

6-25-24 watertown man charged with attempted homicide

Bail has been set at $500,000 cash for a Watertown man charged in a domestic related stabbing incident.  Thirty eight year old Joshua Daniels is charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide and aggravated battery.   The incident happened early Friday evening at a residence in the town of Shields.  The 36 year old victim received multiple lacerations and is in stable condition at a hospital.  The suspect barricaded himself inside the residence. 6-25-24 dumpsters available to help waupun residents dispose of flood-damaged items

Beginning Monday, dumpsters have been placed at the City of Waupun Public Works Garage, located at 903 N Madison Street, for residents to bring damaged materials. The city is unable to accept hazardous materials (solvents, paints, etc.) and appliances. The U.S. surgeon general has called on Congress to require warning labels on social media  platforms similar to those now mandatory on cigarette boxes.
