No horses were injured in a fire that destroyed a horse storage shed at a Fond du Lac County campground. Shortly after 5:30pm Saturday firefighters were called to the Breezy Hill campground in the town of Byron to find smoke and flames coming from the roof. The fire appears to have started in an exterior electrical box and spread to the roof. Two people were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
