7-18-24 scott street closure update

Due to excavation issues, Scott Street will NOT re-open  until Saturday morning to allow for pavement restoration across all lanes of Scott Street.    West Scott Street is closed between Temperance Street and Madison Street. The closure began Tuesday morning to allow the water utility to replace and restore a water service on West Scott Street. The signed detour is Hickory Street – Johnson Street – Main Street – Scott Street.

7-17-24 arrests made in connection with fdl tavern robbery

A faculty committee has recommended that a former chancellor of the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse be removed from his tenured position over his involvement in adult entertainment.
