7-10-24 fire destroys garage in fdl county

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a garage in Fond du Lac County. Firefighters from Oakfield, Lamartine, town of FDL and Fond du Lac were called to the scene on Briar Court shortly before 11 pm Tuesday.  The attached garage, a vehicle and lawnmower inside the garage were destroyed. The cause appears to be a hover board that was charging.

7-10-24 sprinkler system extinguishes fire at fdl restaurant

A sprinkler system extinguished a kitchen fire at a Fond du Lac strip mall restaurant over the weekend.  By the time firefighters arrived at Fast Taco on Winnebago Drive Saturday morning the fire on the two burner cook top was out. The fire resulted in minimal water and soot damage to Fast Taco and an adjacent business. The cause of the fire was unattended cooking.

Former Fond du Lac Reporter and UW-Oshkosh photographer Patrick Flood posted these incredible photos on Facebook he took of the fireworks show at Fond du Lac's Lakeside Park "Thanks to the FB group Wisconsin Photographers. 7-10-24 investigation into fatal head on collision continues

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate a fatal head on collision between a box truck and  SUV that claimed the life of a Fond du Lac woman.  The victim has been identified as 61 year old Sherryl Lynch of Fond du Lac.  Investigators say Lynch was northbound  on Lakeshore Drive near Subway Road Monday afternoon when her SUV crossed the center line striking a box truck […]
