7-10-24 summer marketbasket survey

Wisconsin food prices remain stable despite a national increase.  The latest Wisconsin Farm Bureau marketbasket survey shows the total cost of 12 food items to host a summer cookout totaled $66.38.  Farm Bureau spokesperson Cassie Sonnentag says Wisconsin prices are lower than the national average because we have a diverse agriculture industry.

7-10-24 fdl school district superintendent on medical leave

Fond du Lac School District superintendent Dr. Jeff Fleig is on medical leave.  School Board president Todd Schreiter announced at Monday night's school board meeting that Dr. Fleig would not be in attendance due to a last minute conflict, but did not elaborate.   Schreiter later sent an email to school district parents and staff stating that Dr. Fleig is on medical leave as of Monday and that  Fond du Lac School District Chief of Schools […]

7-9-24 fdl woman killed in head-on collision

A truck vs SUV collision in Fond du Lac has claimed the life of a Fond du Lac woman.  The crash happened Monday afternoon on Lakeshore Drive near Subway Road.  A preliminary investigation shows an SUV was northbound on Lakeshore Drive when it crossed the centerline striking a southbound box truck head on.  The driver of the SUV, a 61 year old Fond du Lac woman , was pronounced dead at the scene.  […]

7-9-24 republicans move at trump’s behest to change how they will oppose abortion

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Republican National Committee’s platform committee is adopting a policy document that reflects former President Donald Trump’s position — opposing a federal abortion ban and ceding limits to the states. It is the first time a national abortion ban has been omitted in 40 years.
