7-2-24 six people killed in wisconsin house fire

A house fire in Wisconsin killed six family members, authorities said Monday, adding that early indications are that the blaze was accidental.  Emergency responders were called to a house fire in Necedah around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, according to a news release posted Monday on the Juneau County Sheriff's Office Facebook page. A Beaver Dam man was killed in a car vs semi crash in Dodge County.  The crash happened shortly after 2:30am Tuesday on County Highway A/I and County Highway W, a couple miles west of Juneau.  A preliminary investigation shows a car driven by a 25 year old Beaver Dam man was northbound on A/I, and was left of center at the intersection when it was struck by a semi hauling a flatbed trailer.  […]

A downtown Fond du Lac restaurant has closed it's doors.  Copper Cock tavern closed June 30th.  The owner posted on the restaurant's website the decision to close the restaurant, thanking family and the Fond du Lac community.

7-2-24 charter spectrum to lay off more than 120 employees in fdl

The Charter Spectrum Call Center in Fond du Lac is closing resulting in the layoff off more than 120employees.  Envision Greater Fond du Lac president Sadie Howell says the layoffs at the office on Knight's Way will take place in the third quarter of this year.  According to Charter the layoffs will begin August 27th.  Howell says some of the affected workers may be offered jobs at other Spectrum call […]
