No horses were injured in a fire that destroyed a horse storage shed at a Fond du Lac County campground. Shortly after 5:30pm Saturday firefighters were called to the Breezy Hill campground in the town of Byron to find smoke and flames coming from the roof. 7-22-24 kohler man seriously injured in fdl county motorcycle crash

A Kohler man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in Fond du Lac County. The crash happened Saturday afternoon on Highway 67 near Boy Scout Drive. A preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle was northbound on 67 when it had a mechanical problem and crashed into a guardrail throwing both occupants. 7-22-24 fdl man arrested for 5th owi

A Fond du Lac man was arrested over the weekend for his 5th OWI offense. Shortly before 5pm Saturday a State Patrol trooper observed driver impairment and pulled a vehicle over on Interstate 41 near County Highway N. Sixty four year old Leroy Threets was transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of OWI 5th offense, Operating While Suspended, and Deviation from designated lane.

7-22-24 city of fdl bypassed wastewater treatment plant during heavy rain event earlier this month

Due to the heavy rains this month the city of Fond du Lac  diverted wastewater into a nearby storm sewer pipe at one location to help alleviate basement flooding.   These flows then discharge into nearby creeks, rivers and storm ponds.  The city says while this wastewater is untreated, it is so heavily diluted that it does not pose a threat to public health.  The bypassing occurred  Tuesday night, July 2.   City […]
