A Fond du Lac man was critically injured after he was struck by a vehicle. The incident happened about 9pm Friday on West Division Street between Main and Macy Streets. A 42 year old Fond du Lac man was flown by helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center with life threatening injuries. The vehicle driver, a 31 year old Fond du Lac man, was arrested for operating while impaired causing great bodily harm.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
