8-7-24 semi overturns, fuel spill in fdl

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office is investigating a semi crash on Interstate 41 in Fond du Lac.  The crash happened shortly after 7am Tuesday on 41 at the Highway 151 off-ramp.   A preliminary investigation found that a southbound semi had attempted to exit interstate 41 at Hwy 151 and lost control on the wet pavement. 8-6-24 motorcycle chase-new developments

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office continues to follow up on tips as they search for the operator of a motorcycle involved in a high speed chase over the weekend.  The chase Saturday night on Highways 175 and 151 reached speeds of 130 miles an hour before it was terminated.   Sheriff's captain Chris Randall says witnesses have reported the  motorcycle driving recklessly in other areas of the county recently.  […]

8-6-24 body of oshkosh man found in lake winnebago

The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the death of an Oshkosh man found in Lake Winnebago.  The body of 65 year old David Prieto was found Friday floating in the lake near the Fahrney Point Boat Ramp/Kalbus Country Harbor area in the town of Black Wolf.  First responders attempted life-saving measures, but Prieto was pronounced dead at the scene.   His boat was found in the area.  Autopsy results are pending.
