Residents in the village of St. Cloud are under a boil water advisory. The advisory was issued after an equipment malfunction resulted in a loss of pressure in the water system. The issue has been corrected and there is no known water contamination but the advisory was issued as a precaution. Water used for drinking or cooking should be boiled before used. The village has contacted the DNR and will sample water over the next few days. Bottled water will also be available from 5pm to 7pm Tuesday at the village hall.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
