MADISON - High health care costs are hurting Wisconsin’s business climate and making employers less competitive. According to the Wisconsin Employer Survey, nearly half - 44 percent - of Badger State employers saw health care costs increase by more than 10 percent over the last year. WASHINGTON (AP) — Retired NFL quarterback Brett Favre has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, he told a congressional committee Tuesday.  Favre made the disclosure as part of his testimony about a welfare misspending scandal in Mississippi. Favre, who does not face criminal charges, has repaid just over $1 million in speaking fees funded by a welfare program in the state and was also an investor in a biotech company with ties to the case. 9-25-24 two milwaukee men face drug charges following traffic stop in fdl county

Two Milwaukee men face drug charges following a traffic stop in Fond du Lac County.  The vehicle was pulled over this month on Interstate 41 and a Sheriff's K9 alerted a deputy to the presence of drugs.  A search of the vehicle found heroin.  The suspects were found to have small amounts of cocaine and illegal mushrooms in their possession as they were being booked into the jail.

9-24-24 one person injured in fire that damages duplex
