10-28-24 competency exam ordered for tci inmate charged in death of cellmate

A competency examination has been ordered for a Taycheedah women's prison inmate  charged in the beating death of her cellmate.  Twenty eight year old Taylor Sanchez is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of 68 year old Cindy Schulz-Juedes.   Sanchez entered a not guilty plea in April and  her attorney added a not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect plea.   Last week Fond du Lac County Circuit […]

10-28-24 victim of fatal rollover crash in dodge county identified

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim of a fatal  one vehicle rollover crash in Dodge County.  Thirty three year old Blake Olson of Oconomowoc was killed in the crash  Tuesday morning on state Highway 26 south of County Road S.  A preliminary investigation shows a car was northbound on  26 when it entered the gravel shoulder. 10-25-24 fdl county corn bailer fire

Nobody was injured after a corn bailer caught fire and spread to a nearby cornfield. Shortly before 1:30 pm Thursday firefighters were called to the scene on Highway 44 and quickly extinguished the fire. The fire damaged nearby corn bales and a recently cut cornstalk field causing an estimated $9,000 in damage.
