10-21-24 fdl man injured in shooting incident

A Fond du Lac man was injured and a suspect  is in custody  following a weekend shooting incident. It happened shortly after 2:30 am Sunday in the parking lot behind Hopper’s Screen Printing and the Fast Taco restaurant on North Main Street. 10-21-24 fdl man convicted in drug overdose death

A Fond du Lac man has been convicted of  providing the drugs that led to the overdose death of a Fond  du Lac resident.   Forty six year old Joshua Weber has pleaded guilty to First Degree Reckless Homicide.  A sentencing hearing is scheduled for January 27th.  Investigators say Weber supplied the fentanyl that led to the death of a Fond du Lac man in December of 2020.

10-21-24 serious injury crash-dodge county

Two people were injured, one person with potential life-threatening injuries in a one vehicle crash in Dodge County.  The crash happened shortly before 9am Friday on state Highway 33 near Ireland Road, about a mile south of Fox Lake.  A preliminary investigation showed a  car was northbound on Highway 33,  drifted onto the right shoulder,  back onto the roadway, and then in a spin-off the road to the right, striking an embankment. 10-21-24 study points to correlation between helmet use motorcycles and odds of survival

A new study compiling decades of fatal motorcycle crashes is being released by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, which is pushing for stricter state road safety laws. The study suggests that 20,000 motorcyclists who died in crashes in the U.S. since the mid-1970s would have survived if stronger helmet laws had been in place, according to the nonprofit group that seeks to reduce the harm from motor vehicle crashes.  […]

10-21-24 interstate 41 project starts monday

A major reconstruction project on Interstate 41 in Fond du Lac and Winnebago counties starts Monday.
