MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin voters have approved a constitutional amendment that prohibits foreign nationals from voting. The amendment passed Tuesday revises part of Wisconsin’s Constitution that allows every U.S. citizen who is at least 18 to vote. Republican Rep. Glenn Grothman won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing Wisconsin on Tuesday. Grothman won a sixth term in the reliably Republican district in eastern Wisconsin. It includes rural, suburban and exurban communities between Madison, Milwaukee and Green Bay. Grothman is a strong supporter of former President Donald Trump and faced only nominal Democratic opposition.

11-6-24 wisconsin republican congressman fitzgerald reelected

WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican Rep. Scott Fitzgerald won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing Wisconsin on Tuesday. Fitzgerald won a third term in the heavily Republican district in east-central Wisconsin, an area that has not been represented by a Democrat in more than 20 years. Fitzgerald is a former state lawmaker who has been a vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump. He faced only nominal Democratic opposition.

11-6-24 nfdl, oakfield school referendums fail

Voters have rejected school operations referendums in the Oakfield and North Fond du Lac School Districts.  A North Fond du Lac referendum  to exceed revenue limits by $12.4 million over  five years was defeated by 93 votes and an operations referendum in the Oakfield School District to exceed revenue  limits by $1.1 million for each of  the next four school years was voted down by 87 votes.
