12-3-24 green lake county sheriff’s deputies recover body from fox river

The Green Lake County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of of 75 year old man after his body was recovered Monday from the Fox River.  The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a call Monday morning  when a man had not returned home when expected. The vehicle was  found in the river and the man was located outside the vehicle, deceased.  The incident remains under investigation.

12-3-24 victim of fatal crash in fdl county identified

The victim of a fatal two vehicle crash in Fond du lac County has been identified.  The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office says 34 year old Samantha Watts-Galica of Brandon died Saturday evening when her car was struck by a vehicle on Highway 151 at County Highway TC.  Failure to stop at stop sign and failure to yield to cross-traffic are believed to be the contributing factors to the incident.

12-3-24 former ripon area fire district chief charged with defrauding department

Former Ripon Area Fire District Chief Tim Saul is accused of defrauding the department.  Saul  was charged Monday afternoon in Fond du lac County Circuit Court  with three misdemeanor counts of financial transaction card-use to defraud.   According to a criminal complaint Saul allegedly used an RAFD-issued credit card over several  years for almost $43,000 for personal expenses including  payments to the Chicago Cubs, a California AirBnB, two Wisconsin Dells water parks and to his wife’s […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — David Prosser, who rose to become speaker of the Wisconsin Assembly before an 18-year tenure on the state Supreme Court that was marked by a heated altercation with another justice, has died.
