A portion of West Division Street in Fond du Lac is closed for a few days starting Wednesday.  West Division between Hickory and Boardman Streets will be closed beginning at 7:00 am and remain closed until end of day Monday, February 3.   The closure will be in place to allow for water utility repairs and temporary pavement restoration.

The Senate has confirmed former Wisconsin Republican congressman Sean Duffy as the next secretary of transportation .  Duffy returns to public office for the first time in nearly six years.  The 53 year old Duffy was confirmed on a 77-22 vote. He was among President Donald Trump's least controversial cabinet picks and garnered bipartisan praise at his confirmation hearing earlier this month. The investigation into the arson fire of a duplex in Lomira last week continues.  A 21 year old Lomira man was arrested shortly after the fire last Thursday afternoon in the 900 block of Main Street.   Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says neighbors had reported a suspicious person near the house just prior to the fire.   Sources told WFDL news that gasoline may have been used as an accelerant to start the […]
