2-10-25 4th defendant in fentanyl overdose case going to prison

A fourth defendant is going to prison for a fentanyl overdose death in Ripon. Fond du Lac judge Doug Edelstein sentenced Donavyn Mueller to 10 years in prison and 10 years extended supervision. Mueller was convicted of First Degree Reckless Homicide for the April 2023 fentanyl overdose death of an 18 year old Ripon man.

2-10-25 dnr reminds sturgeon spearers to use caution on lake winnebago system

The sturgeon spearing season began over  the weekend and the Wisconsin DNR is reminding spearers to use extra caution when venturing out on the ice.   There have been several incidents involving vehicles going into open water or breaking through thin ice.   The DNR says always wear a life jacket, go with more than one person, check ice conditions with local fishing clubs and notify someone where you plan to be.

2-10-25 competency exam ordered for woman accused of attacking workers at taycheeda prison

A woman convicted of killing a man in Green Bay has been ordered to undergo a competency exam regarding charges of attacking workers at the Taycheeda women’s prison.  Taylor  Schabusiness appeared in Fond du lac County Circuit Court Friday for a preliminary hearing.   She’s charged with battery by a prisoner at Taycheedah Correctional Institution.  According to a criminal complaint last July Schabusiness attacked a prison sergeant who was providing medical care for a staple in her […]

A Nashota man faces more than 40 years in prison when he is sentenced in A Fond du Lac County stalking case.   A Fond du Lac County jury convicted Zackery J.
