LANCASTER, Wis. (AP) â Authorities in southwestern Wisconsin say a 9-year-old boy has died after becoming trapped in a grain bin on his family’s farm. The Grant County sheriff’s office says crews were sent to the farm outside Lancaster this morning. WKOW-TV reports the boy was helping other family members try to fix an auger in the grain bin when he became trapped.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
