The Department of Public Works will be closing a portion of the intersection of Winnebago Drive and North Park Avenue at 6:00 AM Wednesday morning, August 20th to facilitate the repair of a water main leak. The following lane closures will occur:
*South bound Park Avenue will be closed. Vehicles exiting Lakeside Park will be required to turn east or west on Winnebago Drive.
*North bound Park Avenue, no left turn on to west bound Winnebago Drive.
*West bound Winnebago Drive, no left turn on to south bound Park Avenue.
Excavation and repair work will take place on Wednesday, crews expect to pour new concrete pavement on Thursday and the intersection will fully re-open on Monday, August 25th. Access will be maintained to local businesses. The public is encouraged to take alternate routes during this time. Thank you for your patience.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
