One person is killed and another injured following a two vehicle accident in Green Lake County. The crash happened Sunday afternoon just past 3:00 p.m. at County Highway PP and McConnell Road in the Town of Brooklyn. Investigation shows a 2006 Pontiac Torrent, driven by 85-year-old Anthony Vranak of Ripon, was traveling east on McConnell Road and a 1995 Ford F350, driven by 47-year-old Brian Fralish of Berlin, was traveling north on County Highway PP, when they collided at the intersection. Vranak was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
