The Fond du Lac Salvation Army is asking residents attending the Fond du Lac High School musical this weekend to help Fill the Sleigh. Salvation Army’s Ron Jacobson says people attending the musical White Christmas at the High School Performing Arts Center are asked to bring a donation for the Salvation Army Food pantry. “We’re asking people who come to the show to bring a non-perishable food item to help fill the sleigh,” Jacobson said.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
