A Fond du Lac Lakeside Park user survey shows most respondents go to the park to relax with mixed results on questions regarding food and beverage and other park uses. More than 60 percent of the 2200 respondents were women who have lived in Fond du Lac for more than a quarter century. Over 45 percent said they want access to food and beverage and prefer standard concessions such as hot dogs and hamburgers. Forty percent said they would like to see a coffee or sandwich shop but nearly 43 percent said they disagree or strongly disagree with having a full service restaurant and bar in the park. Nearly half of the respondents are opposed to a beer garden or making alcohol beverages available for sale in the park Nearly 70percent of respondents said the park should have more festivals. The Fond du Lac Lakeside Park Exploratory committee will review the results at their meeting Tuesday evening.
