Green Lake County authorities continue to look for the individuals responsible for damaging multiple headstones in a Berlin cemetery, and have increased the award for information. Chief Deputy Mark Putzke says the reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction has been raised from $500 to $1,000. The incidents happened during the weekend of December 28th and 29th, when at least six grave markers were tipped over or dislodged from their base in the St. Michaels Cemetery. A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
