An elderly man struck ten parked vehicles in a parking lot of a Mayville grocery store on Friday afternoon. At about 12:30 p.m. Mayville authorities responded to a traffic accident at Mountin’s Piggly Wiggly. A vehicle driven by a 92 year old Horicon man struck ten vehicles. The Mayville Police Department says it appears the driver panicked and lost control of his vehicle. No significant injuries were reported. Several of the vehicles were towed from the scene. The matter remains under investigation.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
