The Fond du Lac School Board has adopted a new policy that will allow students to apply for new scholarships to attend a technical college. Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says under the program students interested in attending Moraine Park for example could be eligible for a $2250 Wisconsin Technical Excellence scholarship. Sebert says approval of the policy will ensure that student names can be submitted to the state by the March 23rd deadline.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
