A Fond du Lac woman convicted for her role in a robbery at the Adelaide Park skateboard park more than two years ago has been placed on probation. At a hearing Friday Fond du lac judge Dale English withheld sentence and placed Cheyenne Steffen on probation for a year and a half. Steffen was convicted of party to the crime of armed robbery. Investigators says Steffen was the driver of the car. Police say a passenger in the car, 17 year old Quindarius Williams, robbed three people at gunpoint.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
