todayApril 7, 2015

The latest Wisconsin Farm Bureau marketbasket  survey shows beefed up grocery prices in the state.  Farm bureau spokesman Casey Langan says beef is the key ingredient to higher grocery prices in Wisconsin. Langan says the survey shows the total cost of 16 food items is $51.96 up nearly two dollars or about 3.8 percent compared to a year ago.  The survey found the average price for a pound of ground chuck rose 21 percent.  Of the 16 items surveyed, 10 increased in price while six decreased in price compared to the 2014 spring survey.
