Two people received non life-threatening injuries in a one vehicle rollover crash in Dodge County Friday. Rescue personnel were called to the scene at the intersection of Highways W and A in the town of Trenton. A Preliminary investigation shows that 18 year old Jesus Ramos-Soto, from Waupun, was driving an SUV north on W approaching the stop sign at the intersection with Cth A. The Explorer went into a clockwise spin and traveled into the intersection where it overturned and continued to roll into a farm field. The driver and a passenger 24 year old Guillermo Amaya-Cruz, from Waupun were extricated from the vehicle and were transported to Beaver Dam Hospital, but were later flown by MedFlight helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison. Alcohol and speed are factors in the crash, however, the crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
