A Ripon area man has been arrested in connection with the death of a town of Ripon man. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s office says the body of a 45 year old man was found in a residence on Olden Road Saturday evening. Investigators say it appeared the man had been deceased for several months. A 45 year old Ripon area man was taken into custody. The sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
