An attorney for the family of a 19-year-old biracial Madison man says they still have more questions than answers after a prosecutor declined to charge the white police officer who fatally shot the man. The grandmother of Tony Robinson, Sharon Irwin, says the prosecutor’s decision “is politics, not justice.” Attorney John Loevy says the family supports the community expressing frustration and anger, but they want protests to be peaceful. Demonstrators are about to start marching toward the Wisconsin state Capitol. A sit-in has ended in the street outside the house where Robinson was shot in March.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
