A Fond du Lac woman involved in what initially appeared to be a minor traffic accident has died from her injuries. Assistant police chief Steve Klein says Margo Lemke was involved in a two vehicle crash at the intersection of First Street and Park Avenue April 28th. She died the following day from internal injuries. Lemke was 77. Klein says Lemke was driving on Park Avenue when a car struck the passenger side of her vehicle. Lemke was the mother of former Fond du Lac Deputy Police Chief Kevin Lemke. The death has been ruled a traffic fatality.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
