6-4-15 waupun prison inmate charged with attempting to kill another inmate

A Waupun Correctional Institution inmate has made his initial Dodge County Circuit Court appearance on attempted homicide and battery charges after he allegedly tried to kill another inmate and injured a correctional officer. 28 year old Eric Conner is charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide and battery by prisoners. Conner is accused of making a shank and attacking the 27 year old inmate. Following the stabbing, correctional officers spotted the homemade knife and attempted to subdue Conner. That’s when Conner is accused of punching the correctional officer several times. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for June 18^th.
