6-13-15 crime lab firing

todayJune 12, 2015

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Department of Justice quietly fired the Madison crime lab manager last summer for what agency officials called unsatisfactory work performance.  Discipline letters The Associated Press obtained through an open records request show lab manager Amy Lautenbach was terminated on July 1. The agency didn’t publicize the firing.  Former Deputy Attorney General Kevin St. John wrote in Lautenbach’s letter that a performance evaluation found unacceptable results in implementing policy, managing workers and communicating with people inside and outside the lab. Lautenbach told AP this week that she was targeted after she complained about her supervisor mocking bumper stickers that had a message of religious tolerance.
