On 06-28-15 at about 1:13am the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, along with assistance from Fox Lake Police Department and Randolph Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on CTH A near Blackhawk Trail in the Town of Fox Lake. Preliminary investigation shows a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer operated by 18 year old William Walker from Markesan, WI was Southbound on CTH A and failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle continued south through a channel in Fox Lake, struck a power pole and rolled over. The driver was transported to Theda-Clark Medical Center in Neenah by Theda Star due to serious but non-life threatening injuries. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and their Crash Investigation Team is investigating the crash. Also assisting at the scene was Fox Lake Fire Department, Fox Lake EMS, Beaver Dam Fire Department Dive Team and Paramedics, and the Dodge County Emergency Response Team (DCERT).

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
