The Fond du Lac city council will consider vacating Rogersville Road near Mills Fleet Farm. Public Works Director Jordan Skiff says the intersection of Rogersville Road and Military Road would be eliminated, realigning the intersection of Sullivan Drive and Pioneer Road. Rogersville Road would service Fleet Farm customers serving as a dead end street. Skiff says the next phase of the Pioneer Road reconstruction project includes a roundabout at Pioneer and Military Road. That is scheduled to begin in 2017.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
