The Fond du Lac police chief says accusations that a former lifeguard supervisor sexually assaulting a teenage lifeguard is troubling.  Ryan Ronayne was bound over for trial Friday on charges of sexual assault of a child by a person who works with children and child enticement.    He was employed by the Fond du Lac Recreation Department, was an assistant swim coach with the Fondy Swim Club and also worked for the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Department and previously worked for a short period of time in the Fond du lac County Jail.  Police chief Bill Lamb says detectives are continuing their investigation to determine if there may be other victims.  “These types of crimes are always troubling, but they’re particularly troubling an adult is in some type of a position of authority,”  Lamb told WFDL news.  At Ronayne’s initial court appearance prosecuting attorney Dennis Krueger told the court  that Ronayne systematically pursued an underage child, appeared to be targeting female children at the pool and used his position of authority to manipulate the alleged victim.  Krueger says there were also concerns raised about how Ronayne interacted with some of the female inmates when he worked in the Fond du Lac County Jail.
