A Fond du Lac man accused of threatening an ex girlfriend with a gun at a nail salon has been bound over for trial. Nineteen year old Jerry Yang waived his preliminary hearing Friday on charages of recklessly endangering safety, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and disorderly conduct with a dangerous weapon. Police say the incident occurred Friday August 28th when Yang entered the Sky Nails Salon near the Festival Foods grocery store, displayed a weapon and made suicidal comments. According to a criminal complaint Yang and his girlfriend who works at the nail salon had broken off their relationship earlier in the day.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
