On Friday, September 18 from 4:00 – 5:00 pm, a surprise player from the Milwaukee Bucks will visit the Museum along with the talented team of entertainers including Bango the mascot, the Bucks Dancers, and the Rim Rockers. The Dancers and Rim Rockers will alternate between performances and interactive workshops to teach kids some dance moves and basketball tricks, so families will be able to watch an entertaining show and get involved. Fond du Lac is the 1st stop in the Milwaukee Bucks’ tour through Wisconsin, and the only stop in the Fond du Lac area. After the Bucks make their grand exit at 5:00 pm, families are welcome to stay until 7:00 pm and enjoy “alley-oop-ing” at kiddie hoops, making basketball crafts, and more. Plan to stay the entire evening and enjoy all the activities. As an added convenience to families, the Museum is working with youth and families from Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church to offer “quick bites” dinner items (fees apply).

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
