CEDAR GROVE, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say the driver of a stolen car was killed when the vehicle collided with a semi on an interstate near the Sheboygan and Ozaukee county line. Officials say the semi caught fire, but the driver was able to escape the rig without significant injuries Tuesday evening. The crash closed Interstate 43 near Cedar Grove until Wednesday morning. Investigators say they found drugs, drug paraphernalia and a loaded gun in the car stolen in St. Francis.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
