A North Fond du Lac man has learned the hard way that when you respond to an Online ad for sex you never know what you’re going to get. North Fond du Lac police chief Darren Pautsch says police were called to a Winnebago Street residence Wednesday night to a report that a black male had entered a house and displayed a gun. Pautsch says officers arrived and conducted a high risk stop on the suspect;’s vehicle.arrested three people and recovered an airsoft pistol from the car. But Pautsch says it was the victim who initially contacted the woman from an ad on backpage.com thinking they were going to meet to have sex in exchange for money. Pautsch says it’s a dangerous game people play and he’s glad no one was hurt in this incident. A 24 year old Neenah man was arrested and Pautsch says additional arrests are expected.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
