10-15-15 kloppenburg brings campaign to fdl

todayOctober 14, 2015

Appellate court judge JoAnne Kloppenburg says she is the State Supreme Court candidate with the most experience.  Kloppenburg made a campaign stop in Fond du lac this week.  She says the election is not a referendum on governor Scott Walker but rather the independence and future of the state supreme court.  But Kloppenburg says Walker’s appointment of Bradley to fill the vacancy after Justice Crooks died last month gives the appearance of another example of governor Walker’s cronyism.  “Governor Walker’s recent appointment of Rebecca Bradley to the court, his third appointment of Bradley in the last three years, shows how high the stakes are,”  Bradley told WFDL news.  “What prompted me to run back in 2011 and why I’m running now is that there’s a concern that partisan politics and special interests are trying to intrude onto our Supreme Court.”   Kloppenburg says she is meeting with residents in all 72 counties to try to convince them that she would be an independent voice on the court and the candidate with the most experience.
