A Fond du Lac man accused of having sexual contact with underage teenage girls has been bound over for trial. Twenty two year old Jason Bunkert waived his preliminary hearing Friday on 14 counts of child sex assault. The incidents occurred in Fond du Lac County and at least one incident allegedly happened more than two years ago in the city of Fond du Lac. Bunkert is free on a $50,000 signature bond.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
